The upcoming 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been the center of quite a bit of attention lately, and a recent announcement by the brand is stirring up excitement even more. Dodge will be producing a one-off edition of the vehicle, which will have a unique I.D. plate of VIN0001, meaning it will be the first Hellcat to roll off the assembly line.

The special qualities of the car don’t stop there. It will be painted with Stryker Red paint, which until now has only been used on Vipers. The car will also come with a number of memorabilia pieces, including a documentation package, photos, the car’s “birth certificate,” documentary video, a Laguna Leather iPad sleeve embossed with an SRT Hellcat logo, and an electronic build book of the car, making for some great collector items. It also helps that the new, high-performance version of the Challenger will be the most powerful production muscle car ever, which already makes the upcoming model highly desirable for enthusiasts and collectors alike.

While the auctioning off of the Challenger SRT Hellcat puts even more of a spotlight on the car and brand, the proceeds of the sale will go to a good cause. The Opportunity Village, which is an organization that works with people who have intellectual disabilities, will be the beneficiary of the funds.

Anyone who is interested in purchasing the unique muscle car can attend the Barrett-Jackson event at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 25 through 27.
